A national competition to help people all over South Africa reach improved health

South Africa’s most loved weight loss company, Slender Wonder, recently launched a competition that would enable one person in every province to reach improved health. People across the country are struggling with health issues due to obesity-related conditions, and the medical weight loss company stepped in to make a difference.

After the initiative was announced, entries flooded in, with hundreds of nominations being received from far and wide. Now the winners have been announced. They are as follows:

Rochelle Du Plessis. (37 – Humansdorp) aims to lose 30 kg.

Hettie Surname (43 – Bloemfontein) aims to lose 31 kg.

Leonard Marais (48 – Heidelberg) aims to lose 80 kg.

Andrea Maloney (26 – Lephalale) aims to lose 38 kg.

Carissa van der Merwe (37 – Balfour) aims to loose 33 kg.

Willem Naude (36 – Brits) aims to loose 35 kg.

Charne Ferreira (26 – Kimberley) aims to lose 35 kg.

Roxanne van Wyk (33) aims to loose 15 kg.

Charlotte Perry (33 – Bloemfontein) aims to lose 35 kg.

Linda Maphumulo (44 – Westville) aims to lose 35 kg.

Terry-Lee Speirs (39 – Port Elizabeth) aims to lose 18 kg.

Husband and wife couple Erne (24) & Jurie Koekemoer (27) from Newcastle aim to lose 20 kg and 50 kg respectively.

The health risks associated with being overweight are becoming even more apparent as Covid-19 has proven to be particularly detrimental when combined with cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart conditions, diabetes, and other consequences of obesity.

As one of South Africa’s leading medical weight loss companies, Slender Wonder launched this initiative whereby selected individuals from all over South Africa could win a three-month weight-loss sponsorship.
